Infrared sensor capable of detecting an obstacle at a distance between 20 and 150 cm. The sensor provides an output voltage that varies according to the distance. To know the detected distance it is necessary to interface the output to a microcontroller, to an analog-to-digital converter or it can be connected to a comparator for threshold detection.
