Standalone 5-Pad Capacitive Touch Sensor Breakout - AT42QT1070

Description

This breakout board is the easiest way to create a project with multiple capacitive touch sensors. No microcontroller required, just a power supply between 1.8 and 5.5 VDC. When the touch sensor is activated, the corresponding LED will light up and the output of the pin will go low. Only one contact can be perceived at a time. By purchasing this product you will receive a fully assembled board and headers to connect it to a breadboard. Note that only one contact will be detected at once (this is to protect against having a hand brush against two or more contacts at once. The datasheet has many details on sensitivity, power usage, etc. - note that this board uses the chip in 'standalone' mode only, it cannot be used in I2C mode.
